Meet Josh

Hello, I’m Josh and I have recently become a mentor for CDAH. I have completed year 12 at school and some TAFE courses which were great.

I have a disability myself and do not let it get in the way of what I want to achieve. I have obtained my Driver’s License and can drive. I have Cerebral Palsy, therefore movement and mobility are an issue but I push my boundaries all the time and set myself short and long term goals to achieve.

I have experience in many different things. I have worked as a receptionist, cleaner, stock take assistant and I have volunteered for a local disability service provider for some work experience.

Throughout my TAFE studies, I have done a course in Disability and Age care, which will not only allow me to help you better, but also opens the opportunity for me to support you as you may wish to likewise pursue a TAFE course yourself. I enjoy going out with friends, but in order to do so, I take public transport and get lifts sometimes. If you struggle I can help you with ideas and strategies to make it easier for you to navigate your way around on public transport.

I am a very Facebook and technologically savvy person, and can help you gain confidence in using technology to make connections with others.

I am looking forward to working with you, and I will help you in any way I can, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions and I will answer them as honestly as I can.
