Meet John

Hi, my name is John and I am a CDAH peer mentor.

I am a Personal Trainer and have my own successful Personal Training studio.

I am a Level 4 Sports Coach and have been very successful in the Fitness and Sports arena. I lead a healthy, active and positive lifestyle and enjoy motivating, inspiring and helping others to get the most out of their lives through physical and recreational activities. I am also Legally Blind and have been all my life.

I hope, as a CDAH peer mentor, I can share the knowledge, experiences and ideas I have gained over the years participating in a wide variety of sporting activities from fun runs to marathons and ultramarathons, I have completed over 120 triathlons from sprint to Ironman events. I am also the first legally blind athlete in the World to complete an Ultraman Triathlon.

I love Adventure and I have travelled extensively around the World looking for interesting challenges from Trekking the Kokoda Trail to crewing on a 65ft yacht across the Pacific Ocean. I have sea kayaked around the Whitsundays and walked from the top to the bottom of Fraser Island just to name a few.

Contact CDAH if you or someone you know are interested in me being a Mentor, sharing my experiences, offering guidance, understanding or talking about some of life’s challenges we all have to face.
